Dr. Spaedy is considered an “out-of-network” provider and does not accept insurance. This allows for comprehensive evaluations, improved quality of care, and highly personalized treatment. Dr. Spaedy can provide you with a medical receipt (“super bill”) which you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Payment is due on the day service and payment methods include major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA accounts. See below for a list of service rates.
As appointment time is set aside exclusively for individual patients, patients are responsible for the full appointment fee if they fail to cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment at least 24 hours (not including weekend time or major holidays including January 1st, Memorial day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) in advance or if they do not show to their scheduled appointment. Unforeseen things in life happen last minute. For this reason, if an appointment needs to be switched to telemedicine last minute, this will be allowed unless it was already discuss in advance that this would not be an option. Rescheduling or cancelation of appointments is required to be done in writing.
Due to the heavy volume of incoming pharmacy faxes, Dr. Spaedy requires that the patient or family member, if appropriate (with consent on file) call or securely message the office for medication refill if needed. The office will not respond to refill requests that come directly from pharmacies. Many faxes are on auto refill and it appears are not patient generated. For this reason the patient and/or family member agrees to get in contact with the office and not the pharmacy for refills. Although Dr Spaedy tries to take care of most refills as soon as possible, I understand that it may take up to three business days for prescription refills and prior authorizations to be addressed.
